There are unfortunate occasions when accidents, whether they involve your auto or your home, lead to legal proceedings. Depending on the complexity of your case, the time and monetary pressure of an extended court battle can quickly become overwhelming - especially if your current insurance's liability limits are met, and you are faced with paying the difference out of your own pocket.
Personal Umbrella Insurance provides coverage when your liability exceeds the limits of your Homeowners, Automobile, and Boat Insurance; protects you from major claims and lawsuits; provides coverage for claims that may be excluded by other liability policies including:
- False Arrest
- Libel
- Slander
- Liability coverage for rental units you own.
To qualify for Umbrella Insurance, you must have Liability Insurance (Homeowners, Auto and/or Boat Insurance) that is at least equal to certain required limits of coverage.
