Earlier this week, Mayor Caldwell announced Emergency Order 2020-17 a.k.a. Restore Honolulu 4.0 has been extended until July 31, 2020. This Order requires all individuals anywhere in the City of Honolulu to shelter in place, with exception for certain essential activities, government services, essential public infrastructure construction.
The intent of this Order is to continue to slow the spread of COVID-19 amid the recent spike in cases as the economy has slowly reopened. It is also intended to help re-establish continuity of social and commercial life.
The six main orders remain in place:
- Shelter in place
- Only essential or designated business operations are allowed to operate and are required to follow the six-foot physical distancing requirements
- Indoor and outdoor gatherings of 10 or less are permitted, anything large is strictly prohibited
- All travel, including, but not limited to, travel on foot, bicycle, scooter, motorcycle,
automobile, or public transit, except Essential Travel and Essential Activities, is prohibited - The wearing of face masks in public settings
- Opening of City parks
