HONOLULU – Atlas Insurance Agency, Inc. (Atlas), Hawaii’s largest insurance agency established in 1929, today announced it received an honorable distinction — ranking in Insurance Journal’s Top 100 independent property/casualty agencies in the United States. For the second year in a row, Atlas is the only Hawaii-based company to be included in the top 100 independent agencies in the nation. The list was compiled by the premier industry publication, Insurance Journal, which is considered the most-read and respected national property and casualty publication for independent insurance agents and brokers, read by more than 250,000 insurance professionals annually.
The Top 100 list is determined by total property/casualty agency revenue for 2018 and comprises only those agencies whose business is primarily retail. Atlas Insurance Agency ranked 94th overall, showcasing how the Agency is one of the nation’s most successful independent insurance agencies and brokerages.
“Ranking as the only Hawaii agency in Insurance Journal’s Top 100 list for the second year in a row is a testament to our entire Atlas Ohana,” said Atlas Insurance Agency President Chason Ishii. “Our steady reinvestment into staff through continuous education, the latest technologies, and employee wellness, positions Atlas to continue serving our clients and the Hawaii community to the best of our abilities.”
